Hello Fellow Trials Riders!!!

First off please welcome some potential new members - Justin from Montgomery and Andree of Canada.  Hopefully they will join our club and do some riding with us in 2012.

Secondly - Congratulations to 3 members in our club for their outstanding performances in the 2011 NETA series.
Mike Leonard moved up to #2 Expert, Denver Wilson is now #1 Sportsman, and Joey McKenna is #1 Rookie - all for the 2011 Season!!!
So that is TWO New England Champions and one Runner-Up just from our so-called small club!!!  Great riding guys and way to go to make us proud in Vermont - NICE JOB!!!
Hmmm, maybe all that schooling that Mike gave these guys in the spring is starting to pay off?    Sounds like a good reason to have another trials school in 2012!

Finally - we will be having an all-hands Green Mountain Plonkers club meeting at Moto Connection on Saturday December 3rd from Noon to 2:30pm.
Our club will be providing the FREE PIZZA  - please bring some soda and desserts to share....Also, please do NOT bring alcoholic beverages to the meeting, the store insurance no longer allows it.

On the agenda will be club officer elections for 2012, planning for our 2012 NETA event, some mini-trial rules/guidelines discussions, plus some early planning for a potential 2013 National.
I believe most officer positions are open if some folks would like to step-up.  Positions available are President, VP, Treasurer, and Secretary.
We only meet a few times a year, so please make your best effort to join us for a winter get-together, see some maybe new trials bikes?!, and contribute to the future of YOUR club.

Thanks and I look forward to seeing you all there.

Well our LAST event of the year is upon us. If you haven't made an
event this year, this is your last chance.

It is at Scott Morse's place in Westford. There will be 6 A, B
sections and 5 C sections on Saturday. On Sunday we'll have 7 A, B
sections and 5 C. If you haven't been practicing your turns this
season you have only a few days to get them down. Sections will have
lots of turns. Turns on the flat, turns on the rocks, turns on slopes,
turns in the mud.....we have it all. Champ riders bring your best
game, cause your going to need it.

Rider start time is 10:15 and you'll have until 3:30 (5+ hours) to
complete 3 loops

For those planning on finishing first in their perspective classes
I'll have some awesome prizes in lieu of trophies.

If you plan on attending Sunday, please respond by email so I
know how many burgs and dogs to buy. Scott Morse has offered up his
grill, but it will be cook your own......and yes we will have a porta
potty available on Saturday and Sunday.

See you then.........and don't forget to respond regarding food Sunday...Thanks

Rick

Check out the photo gallery, for some awesome pictures contributed by Trish, of this past Labor Day weekend's Mini-Series Event in Highgate. We had a record number of riders and spectators and from all reports, everyone had a great time. Some folks, families were riding an event for the first time and it was great to see the smiles on their faces. We had the unique experience of sharing the riding area with some of the Fortin family cows and to everyone's delight, they just joined right in the fun. Dan & Karen Fortin, our wonderful land owners, and several, other family members stopped by to visit, they were pleased to meet with the Green Mountain Plonkers, their familes and guests. All & All an exciting weekend. Please think about joining  us at our last event of the season Sept 24th - 25th in Westford, Vt. Look for a later update on our website and email for more details about this upcoming event. The trials master is Rick Fecteau, so you know it will be a great time.

Hi Everyone,

Just a reminder that our Fourth mini-trial of the year will be coming up on Sept 3rd and 4th at Highgate, Vt.  We have set up several new sections and a very rider / spectator friendly loop of less then 1 mile. I hope all club members will come out and join us for a fun filled weekend. While several riders ride for score and place in their class, Everyone should come out and get some time riding, practicing or socializing and getting to know your fellow club members, the loop is beginner rider friendly and short enough to walk to spectate if that's what you would enjoy doing..YOU DON'T HAVE TO RIDE FOR SCORE YOU HAVE THE OPTION TO RIDE FOR THE FUN AND LEARNING IF THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE MOST COMFORTABLE DOING. REMEMBER, THE MAIN THING IS TO HAVE FUN!!!

Sign up will start at 9am and the ride will start at 10:30am and we should be finishing up around 3pm. This time frame works for both days. Its $20 per day to help cover insurance and expenses.

Camping is allowed at the event, but it will be primitive with a pack in/ pack out policy, but there will be a Port-o-Let available, as a restroom, so don't hesitate to bring your families.

If you are planning on coming and/or camping please call  Tom Butland at 1-802-578-3022 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  , or call Scott Armstrong at Motoconnection by Wed. Aug 31st, for directions or additional information, so we can get an idea of how many folks will be camping.
